Stationary phases of various chromatography :-

  1. The stationary phases are generally chemically well defined inorganic or organic materials with porous structure and with relatively high  specific surface areas.

  2. Various stationary phases for diff. models of chromatography.

  3. Adsorption : Silica gel, alumina (Al2O3), Kieselgurh.
  4. Partition : Cellulose, Kieselgurh, silica gel.
  5. 1)  Normal phase : silica gel treated for binding groups as amino cyano, diol
    2)  Reverse phase : Silica gel treated with paraffin oil, benzene.
  6. Ion exchange : Cellulose phosphate, polyethyleneimine, cellulose.
  7. Size exclusion : Sephadex G, 25, 50, 75, 100.
  8. Miscelleneous : ɛ- polycaprolactam, acetylated polycaprolactam.
